Professional Experience

Erin advises and represents clients as a partner in the Commercial Real Estate & Development team. In addition to that role, Erin serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. Erin enjoys helping her clients implement their creative visions for redevelopment, as well as seeing the growth and change of emerging communities made possible by development. She is regularly recognized for her work in commercial real estate law.

Erin’s clients include developers, purchasers and vendors of commercial real estate, and commercial landlords and tenants. She assists and advises clients with the following:

  • Purchase and sale of commercial real estate

    • Office, retail, industrial, hotel, and development property

  • Negotiation and preparation of purchase and development agreements

  • Drafting disclosure statements under the Real Estate Development Marketing Act

  • Real estate marketing compliance matters, including project development sales

  • Obtaining municipal approvals and entitlement processes

    • Subdivision and servicing requirements

  • Structuring and implementing airspace parcel subdivisions for mixed-use developments

  • Strata Property Act compliance matters

  • Real estate structuring matters

Erin remains current by regularly attending industry events organized by NAIOP, UDI, and CLEBC. She is also a past contributor to the CLEBC Commercial Leasing —Annotated Precedents and Commercial Real Estate Practice Manual publications.

REcent Work

  • Negotiation and preparation of purchase and sale agreements for various complex real estate transactions

  • Advising on various strata titled residential, mixed-use, phased, and industrial strata projects throughout B.C.

  • Representing an institutional asset manager in the acquisition of a real estate portfolio in B.C. and Alberta

  • Advising a developer on real estate matters in connection with a mixed-use development, including negotiation and implementation of numerous airspace parcels and complex cost sharing agreements

  • Acting for strata corporations, developers, and liquidators in strata wind-up transactions

  • Advising developers on rezoning and development related matters, and working with municipal governments to obtain rezoning and development permit approvals

  • Represented a landlord in the negotiation of long-term ground lease and sublease arrangements with respect to an international distribution facility located in Richmond, B.C., and acted in the subsequent sale of the asset.
