Professional Experience
Amarit is a member of the Litigation/Arbitration/Dispute Resolution team. He maintains a general litigation practice with an emphasis on commercial and corporate law matters, including:
Commercial contract disputes;
Foreclosures;
Construction disputes & builders’ liens;
Creditor remedies;
Sale of good issues;
Commercial leases;
Shareholder disputes; and,
Commercial and residential sale agreements.
Amarit aims to provide a practical approach to resolving business disputes, inside and outside a court room. He routinely appears in the Supreme Court of B.C. and B.C. Provincial Court advocating on behalf of his clients, and has been successful appearing before various administrative tribunals. When possible, Amarit uses alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration to get results for his clients.
Prior to joining Koffman Kalef LLP, Amarit worked with a national firm where he represented plaintiffs, in cases against various Canadian insurance providers.
