Stan is a founding partner of Koffman Kalef LLP. He retired from the partnership in September 2021.

Stan practiced real estate, banking and commercial law for over 41 years. He is an accomplished lawyer, and has extensive, hands-on experience and working knowledge of relevant industries and a keen interest in all aspects of business law. His clients included private mortgage lenders, developers, and both domestic and overseas investors. He also served as Senior British Columbia Legal Counsel for the Commercial Real Estate Finance Group of a major Canadian chartered bank.

Throughout his career, Stan has been a tireless advocate for his clients. He understood and appreciated that the most essential requirement and foundation of any successful business transaction is the establishment and maintenance of an amicable, honest, trusting and respectful relationship between the parties, with the ultimate goal of achieving a fair result for all parties concerned. As the Head of a large commercial lending group recently told Stan: "Whenever my managers have a difficult file or problem to solve, I always tell them to call Stan."

Over the years, Stan was a mentor to many law students and new lawyers at Koffman Kalef , many of whom have become Partners and accomplished advisors as well. He also served as lecturer to commercial account managers of a major Canadian chartered bank on financing commercial real estate, and was a contributing author to CLEBC materials on financing trustee held real estate assets.

Outside of his legal practice, Stan is an active member of his community. He is a founding member and served as manager of district select soccer teams for the Burnaby Metro Selects Soccer Club, and is a founding member and served as Director, Chairperson and Head of the Fund Raising Committee for the Britannia Support Society, a charitable organization that supports the needs of the students of a Vancouver Downtown East Side secondary school.
