Werner is senior counsel in the Tax group with over 30 years of experience. He has restricted his practice to tax litigation, GST matters, Provincial taxation and customs law. Werner is a former Governor of CTF, former counsel for the Department of Justice, member of CBA/CA Joint Committee, Tax Subsection 1990. Werner is the author of numerous papers and articles including, “The Tax Advisor at Risk: Civil Penalties and Criminal Sanctions”, 1999, B.C. Tax Conference, “Current Administrative and Enforcement Issues – An Update on the Scope of the Audit, Requirements, Penalties, Collection Matters and the Garnishment Priorities”, 1991, B.C.
