| Professional Experience: |
Pat leads the Commercial Real Estate practice group. Pat’s works with real estate owners and developers with respect to acquisitions, commercial leasing and real estate construction financing matters. Pat has been involved in many large land assemblies, subdivisions, bare land strata plans and developments (office, retail, institutional, hotel, industrial, recreational, residential and governmental), real estate acquisitions, financings, sales, leasing and structuring forms of ownership and transactions and has acted for construction and takeout lenders.
Pat is also a contributor to the Commercial Leasing Annotated Precedent Manual published by the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and other publications. Pat is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Real Property, Banking, Municipal, Environmental and Business Law Subsections, the Building Owners and Managers Association, NAIOP – The Association for Commercial Real Estate, the Mortgage Investment Association, the International Council of Shopping Centres, and the Urban Development Institute.
Pat works closely with his clients to ensure that advice given is appropriate and timely, and he is diligent, efficient and responsive in assisting his clients to meet their goals. He was one of three recipients of the Law Society of British Columbia’s 2006 Community Spirit Awards.
