Doug’s experience includes advising clients in the environmental remediation, rezoning and disposition of brownfield industrial sites, the acquisition and disposition of sawmills and related forest tenures and timber agreements; the acquisition of a $200 million oriented strand board plant and related timber agreements; the construction and financing of greenfield oriented strand board plants; the formation of a joint venture to construct and operate a greenfield $280 million industrial facility and related financings; the representation of borrowers on debt financings including private placements of corporate bonds, ABLs and operating credits; the representation of offshore investors in Canadian real estate development joint ventures; the formation and financing of partnerships to conduct real estate development projects in Canada and the United States; acting as general counsel to clients engaged in a wide range of projects and businesses in Canada and abroad, and the structuring and equity financing of companies operating in a variety of industries.
