COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE

The Commercial Real Estate practice group represents clients in many complex real estate transactions and development matters including land assemblies, subdivision matters, bare land strata developments, office, retail, hotel, industrial, recreational, and residential developments, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, financing, and leasing transactions. Many of our commercial real estate lawyers also act for construction, takeout and inventory lenders.

The group also advises on the structuring of joint ventures, co-ownership arrangements and real estate syndication's of all types including limited partnerships and direct real estate ownership. We have experience in the preparation and filing of Disclosure Statements under the Real Estate Development Marketing Act and advise developer clients on Strata Property Act compliance issues. We also advise both landlords and tenants on all aspects of leasing activities, including ground leasing, and the leasing of industrial, retail and office space. Members of the group have also acted for developers in connection with the financing and acquisition of leasehold interests in and construction of projects on First Nations land.
